I know I have been a horrible blogging friend this week with no posts, and late posts........but I have had some major things go down this week, and it took all I had to hold on and get prepared for what is coming!

This picture is a sneak peek at what I will be unfolding and revealing to you over the next 3 weeks! It is exciting, good kinda scary, and wonderful all at the same time and I can't wait to share with you this next big step for Knack!I am off to the mountains with my husband for our anniversary getaway....and it could not have come at a better time. I am so excited about hiking, reading, movie watching, dinner at our favorite place, new little towns to explore and some QT with my love.Have a great weekend!xo

Well.....better late than never right?! This week has been so crazy...so. crazy. ....but very good. I don't think I can take on any more custom work until the end of the summer due to the influx of pieces that came in this week! Thank you to each and every one of you who have entrusted me with your treasures!I also purchased 7 new pieces for myself, and am so excited to begin working on them as well! The photos in this post are of a custom piece that I am working on right now....and she is a beautiful and fancy gal who just was in the wrong place at the wrong time until her current owners rescued her and decided to bring her to me. I am super pumped {like quadruple fist pump action!} to get her finished!I have a special little piece to introduce to you all on Monday {even though it is a holiday} that I just completed for a baby named Sam. Sam's mommy and daddy are super great...and I am thrilled that I get to be a part of this happy time!Have a wonderful long weekend, and I want to personally say thank you to all who have served and are serving this country...... for the sacrifices you make, for the courage and the bravery you display.......I am free because of you.  Thank you just does not seem enough.xo,Barb

I absolutely love bright colorful paintings on old buildings, and have been collecting photos just like this in the hopes that some day the buildings in the arts district where Knack lives will look like this! The colors in this painting installation are so wonderful.....I just can't even stand it!xo,Barb

 Well my friends....the time has finally come!!! After months and months of hem hawing, planning, chickening out, "back burnering" it, etc.......the switch has finally been made to wordpress....the designs have been executed....the craziness has begun....and my beautiful new site will be live on Monday! Yay!

The new design incorporates both the blog and the website, so everything you need to know about Knack will all be in one beautiful place!

We are down to making the last tweaks and finishing up the importing of recent posts over from Blogger ...so I am going to sign off today so that we can get a jump start on finishing everything up before Monday.

Get ready for not only a frabjous furniture makeover, but also a brand new pretty, pretty site makeover on Monday! Woot!

I decided to mix it up today, and have a little giveaway! Woot! Summer is quickly approaching and I thought it would be fun to give away a set of these awesome luddite plates by the fantastic designer Thomas Paul. These plates are on my favorite list...and I personally own these and use them as my everyday plates. 

I am trying to cut down on the paper plate use in my house, and since these are not only great to look at but dishwasher safe as well..... they fit the bill!

Well....I am so tardy today....and it may have something to do with the fact that I was out until 3 am at the Hunger Games premier with my family. I am totally too old to see 3 am......those were the days of yore for sure!

This weekend for us will include a wedding, a cookout, planting window boxes, cleaning, organizing....etc. I have so much on my "to do list" for the house.......it has really taken a turn for the nutty! It is amazing what a new puppy throws into the mix!

Found goodness

 Today, my daughter is off school and we are going to work on thank you gifts for friends... { my Tuesday post is a clue as to what we are making!} ...who helped me and encouraged me during the book process, photographing the house for a guest blog post coming up {thus the flowers}, lunch with Gigi, and some shopping to top off our day....

Now that the big push for the book is done, I am really enjoying having my Thursdays off again.....
