 Meet "Kammer". This little beauty came from Charlotte, NC for me to makeover and make new. My client had purchased it a few years ago at a flea market, and while the light blue patina on the dresser worked for a while, it was time for a refresher in order to fit into the new space designed for this piece. When turquoise was the color of choice I knew little miss would be a winner when completed.
I took a little bit of liberty and added pink knobs for the photo shoot since the original knobs are staying on the piece......but ...you know.....I just had to.....it's what I do.
{P.S. the super fly "hooray" banner was made by my sister, and you can check out more of her work in her etsy shop......cranny}

Hello, hello! I hope you all had a great weekend! My weekend was so busy and very full....but a lot was accomplished...and that is a great feeling!
I am super excited about the beautiful piece of furniture I have for you today! Meet "Aurelie" .......french for "golden".  I am so into pink and gold lately....I can't get enough of this color combination. I am also really into triangles and geographic shapes.....you will see much more of this in the days to come {wink!}
Enjoy her glittery goodness!
{and p.s look for her in the etsy shop later today or tomorrow!}

Meet "Cleridae". Her name comes from a species name of the chequered beetle family and goes right along with the amazing wood and brass beetle knobs that complete her design plan. I have been waiting for the perfect piece to put these amazing knobs on, and this navy desk won! Woo Hoo!
 I am loving the color navy lately, and this is the first of many pieces in this beautiful color.  I love, love, love this piece....it is rich, classy and timeless.....seriously, I will have a hard time letting go of her.
"Cleridae" is in the etsy shop, and available for purchase! I don't think she will be around long, {I may decide to keep her!} so if you want her....get her!

Meet "Ruda". This sweet little table is one that I purchased a few weeks back because I just could not resist her cuteness, her curves, and her detail that begged for some Knack affection.
This little sweetie will not make it into the Etsy shop, but rather will be auctioned off at the upcoming Children's Museum Chocolate Soiree coming up on March 15th. This is Knack's third year in a row to donate a piece for the soiree, and it is always fun to come up with a whimsical little design for this event. I hope it brings in lots of monies for the hunnies!

{p.s. I forgot to mention that I had fun getting out a bunch of paint cans, and custom mixing this color! I wanted the perfect mint green to go with the colors in the paper....and I am loving how this new color turned out...and just in time for Spring! woot!}

Meet Hortense.
She gave me a run for my money, and I had to pull out all of the tricks on her. I stripped, sanded, and primed.
But man, she is a looker now! Woot, whew!
I should have her up in the etsy shop by days end!
Have a great Monday!

We had a wonderful weekend with family, celebrating the 6th birthday of our very spunky little niece! We laughed till we cried playing games, ate birthday cake until we were sick, {that cake looked amazing....and it tasted even better!}, enjoyed the flea market, and as always were surrounded by color, color, color! My sister in law is so very creative in all that she does....it was inspiring to see the labor of her hands.
so good.

  Here are a few crazily cropped shots from the last photo shoot.... so I don't give too much way...but I hope that you can see a little glimpse of the goodness that has transpired! I have over 30 completed pieces lined up, wrapped in plastic, and stacked to the ceiling in the studio. Each one is different, unique, and ready to party when the book comes out! I can't wait to reveal the book collection, and hope you all love it as much as I do.
This week however, I will be starting on 5 new pieces that I CAN show you! Woot! I will have a furniture introduction post up next Monday! I hope to appease those of you who are "mad" at me for the lack of furniture posts! {wink!} Believe you me there was a lot of furniture going on in the studio, more than I have ever completed at one time before......but all good things are worth the wait right?! Nod and shake your head "yes" here......
