Sorry....no furniture today! Right now every single second is being spent on cleaning the new studio and preparing it for the big move this week! I decided to seal the original brick wall in the back workspace because the mortar is a bit powdery and crumbly. Please believe me when I say it was a complete test of my ever loving sanctification.... and I may have totally threw the roller across the room...{mother, please avert your eyes! I know you did not raise me this way}...but I swear it was only once! However, when I walked back into the space the next day, I had calmed down muchly, and when I ran my fingers across the brick and mortar to the tune of no crumbly mortar....I am now very glad that I persevered. {cough, cough!}I also decided that I wanted to paint and seal the raw concrete floor in the workspace to once again cut down on the dust, make it easier to sweep and clean, and I just love starting fresh with a nice clean floor. It certainly will not stay perfect for too long.....but it will be sealed, and create less dust. I totally ran out of paint when we were about 3/4 of the way done so we did not get to finish! The concrete was so porous, it just soaked up the paint like a sponge. Never fear though, because by the time you read this... my son and I will probably already have been to the paint store and will be finishing up the floors!I am really, really looking forward to this week. Everything should be all moved into the new studio by Thursday,{not organized....but moved!} the old studio will get a thorough cleaning, and then I will head to ATL on Friday with a couple of my pals for a weekend of shopping and picking out lovely things for the new shop!I have the shop windows all covered in paper so that sneaky peaky little eyes will not be able to see all of the goodness until it is all set and ready! Stay tuned!P.S. The floor and patio paint by Benjamin Moore is totally dreamy and creamy. So easy to apply, and you can have it mixed in any color you want. I chose "dragon's breath"......and it is such a beautiful graphite gray color. I will take more photos when the floor is completely done with more light, so you can get a better feel for the difference it has made in the space. Yay!xo,Barb
