a tale of double grace...

...today the hubs, the shorties and i all leave for new york...and i am so excited i just can't even stand it! i can literally smell the city, and hear all the sounds in the east village neighborhood where we stay... i can feel the breeze as i walk through the park in the morning to go get coffee and pass all of my favorite shops....and shop owners i might add.....both, people and places that have become near and dear to my heart...i can't wait to stop in and say hello to all of them and hug their necks...

...speaking of favorite shops, i am bringing a fresh crop of cake plates to pink olive, the very store that catapulted me into opening knack studio.... it was after talking with grace {the store owner}, and her inspiring words of encouragement and support ...that i decided i could do this thing. words are so powerful friends....

...we have grown in friendship, met each others spouses...enjoyed dinner together...and jb and i are going to do everything in our power to be at the wedding in october....it's amazing what can happen... ...and it's super emotional to walk by the window of that very store that i started a dream with, and see my work staring back at me....
....then, there is the dinner i am having tomorrow night with another friend named grace. i can still remember the day that i nervously sent an email to her {design blog guru!}...hoping she would like my work...well, she did and she published my first piece on april 11th 2008...and not only did she like my work... but she took an interest in knack and i am forever grateful...
.... the fact that i am now a part of the design sponge editorial team...and the design sponge book coming out in the spring is yet again,  above anything i could ask or think...

...to top it all off i will spend the rest of the time hitting the flea markets...especially brooklyn flea , watching tennis at the u.s. open {my son has been waiting years for this day!}, and hanging out at all the favorite spots with my three...
...i'm having a moment...and i totally know it...

psalm 16:6,11

The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance
...
You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
