Introductions: Two cream bed side tables, Marilla and Girvinia

I just finished these two bed side tables for some very sweet and special clients of mine. These clients have a beautiful French/Louisiana style home being built here in Greenville and I am doing multiple pieces for this new home! There will be more introductions to come……yipee!

We went with a cream tone on tone look for these two pieces, and I think their subtlety and beauty is perfection! I am not usually a fan of whites and creams…..but I am slowly but surely being won over to the “light side”. {I believe in it every now and again….I promise, I do!} I definitely love this warm cream color and much prefer it over a “pure white situation”. I absolutely think there is a place for soft neutrals in the home, and the bedding and linens picked to go in this room alongside these pieces, is absolutely stunning. I have never touched anything like it before, and the linens are loomed very near by in Asheville, NC.

I love working with others who believe in special details, and who make conscious and intentional choices about what they choose to surround themselves with. It is why I do what I do.

I hope you love Marilla and Girvinia.

xo,

Barb

  1. Well, you know my love for whites and creams : ) So, you should know that I really like these. And, I hate to be disagreeable to the above commenter, but I always love those knobs on anything you do! Thanks, too, for featuring my calendar again! I just snatched this picture for my Etsy shop. (But, if you have time, can you email me the picture– I just screenshot it, but it turned out really small in my shop.)

Love you– sitting here in Cannon Beach, wishing you were here with us!

  2. Do you have any idea how awsomesauce these would look in my bedroom? I die. Love. Love. Lovey. Forget the fat Mike Myers scottish dude in Goldfinger’s quote of “get in my belly!” These need to “get in my house!” Perfect, as always. Love and.miss you friend xo

  3. Barb, I just discovered your blog and your work. Absolutely beautiful! This inspires me to get moving and paint a few of my furniture pieces! I would love to know what color of cream paint you used. It would fit perfectly into my master bedroom as well!
    Thanks!

    • christina, thank you very much! This cream color is a farrow and ball color – 2129 Sesame- that I had matched and mixed in Ben Moore Aura paint. It is a beautiful rich cream.
